Golden Globe Season, a “Boon” for Celebrity Parents

A special congratulations goes out to Boon Inc. ! They were proud to be a sponsor of the 2007 Boom Boom Room Baby and Big Kid Style Villa, hosted by style expert Jayneoni Moore on January 11, 2007 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

A regular event during the pre-Golden Globes season, this exclusive, invitation-only gifting suite provides celebrity parents and their pampered tots with the hottest and hippest baby gear. Boon’s innovative and stylish products were a huge hit with celebrity moms and dads.

Hollywood’s premiere baby style insider, Jayneoni, hand-selected the products and companies to sponsor the 2007 Boom Boom Room event. Celebrities, stylists, and media attendees received products and gifts from sponsors. Event goers left the Boom Boom Room loaded down with bags full of goodies for themselves and the little ones in their lives.

Boon products were snapped-up by celebrities, including Carnie Wilson, who received a Potty Bench training potty; Angela Bassett (who already owns the Boon Frog Pod), requested Boon’s brand new Trio Elite Animal Bag stuffed animal storage solution; Joely Fisher selected a Frog Pod bath toy organizer; and Kevin Sorbo, took home the Boon Flo water deflector. Other celebrities who received Boon products included Sherri Shepherd, Shar Jackson, Greg Grunberg, Vivica Fox, Catherine Bell, Zorianna Kit, Tisha Campbell, Rena Sofer, Kat Dennings, Shirley Brener, Tia Carrere, Dr. 90210’s Dr. Linda Li, Tichina Arnold, and Tony Hale.

Positioned at the front entrance, Boon’s new Animal Bags were the first thing the celebrities saw when they arrived. The Animal Bag is a large plush bag covered with transparent, zippered windows made of durable mesh. Kids can open the windows and fill the bag with stuffed animals then use it as a soft, beanbag-like seat. Everyone who saw the Animal Bag commented on how useful and how fun it is.

Rebecca Finell, inventor and designer of all the Boon products, attended the event and discussed her inventions with celebrity guests. After seeing the products and learning about how they help make parents’ lives easier, Greg Grunberg, star of the television series Heroes, said to Finell, “I think you’re the smartest person I’ve ever met!”

The 2007 Boom Boom Room event raised funds to support the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF), a non-profit foundation dedicated to the support of medical research of Epidermolysis Bullosa.
